Vermont Childcare Training Requirements

All Care Courses (with the exception of Medication Procedures in Child Care) are accepted by the Vermont Department for Children and Families (DCF) for their professional development activity requirements for center based child care, preschool programs, registered family child care homes, licensed family child care homes, and after-school child care programs. This includes DCF professional development activities for program directors, teachers, teacher associates, teacher assistants, trainees, classroom aides, substitutes, seasonal staff, family child care providers, family child care assistants, program administrators, site directors, program staff and after-school aides.

Care Courses is an approved sponsor of online training by Vermont Northern Lights Career Development Center.

Our course Emergency Preparedness in Child Care satisfies Vermont’s emergency preparedness training requirement for center-based child care and preschool programs and family child care homes.
