All Care Courses are accepted by the South Carolina Department of Social Services (SC DSS) for annual clock hour training requirements for early childhood education (ECE) professionals who work in child care centers, group child care homes, family day care homes, and child care centers operated by churches or religious entities providing licensed, faith-based care. This includes training requirements for center directors, center co-directors, administrators, staff, student teachers, student volunteers, teachers/caregivers and operators.
The South Carolina Department of Social Services requires that child care staff complete a portion of their clock hours of child care training in particular topic areas. Click to view Care Courses listed by South Carolina’s Topic Areas. South Carolina’s Topic Areas will appear on your Care Courses certificates.
All Care Courses are approved by the South Carolina Endeavors Registry toward South Carolina DSS credit hours. For SC Endeavors Registry credit, please add your South Carolina Registry ID number to your Care Courses account.
